When I talk to an INTJ I feel at ease learning more about them about their worldview, their systems. It feels very natural once we’ve gotten over the introvert hurdle.I can only think of one I dislike, and I spent a bit of time really wanting to get along with her. She was a…”very hard J”, dug her heels in a lot. Would use her extraverted thinking to push new information away. The ones that haven’t figured out how to deal with emotions have frustrated me in the past. I have the reaction “I can explain emotions to you as a point based system!” …Hrm, I have explained my emotions as a system to INTJs in the past. I rather enjoy the emotionally intelligent INTJs in my life.

If an “INTJ” is using Te to “push new information away”, they’re an ISTJ. INTJs are constantly seeking out new information in order to improve their model of reality (NiTe), while ISTJs do their best to preserve their already existing model, even if it’s out of date and inefficient (SiTe).
As far as emotions go, I wouldn’t say that INTJs have a hard time with them at all. They, more than any other type, are most likely to innately understand that emotions are a psychophysiological experience, the combination of external environmental influences and internal biochemical reactions. The subjective interpretations can vary. The same physiological reaction can be interpreted as overwhelmingly nervous and anxious or happy and excited. What you’re seeing, is the hesitance to subjectively interpret the combination because, from their perspective, subjective interpretation isn’t likely to help them improve their model of reality.
